SlabDigest tracks how player performance moves the prices of graded rookie cards. Every morning we pull the previous day's completed sales, clean them, and publish what moved, what's cooling, and where the stats are ahead of the price.
The key base rookie card for each tracked player (Topps Chrome, Topps and Panini Prizm), in PSA 10. Rookies, second-year players and established stars across the NFL and NBA.
Completed sales only. We drop parallels and colors, autographs, lots, reprints, other graders and the wrong grade, then remove outliers outside 1.5× the interquartile range of the last 30 days. Best Offer sales are excluded because the accepted price is hidden.
A card makes the board with 5+ clean sales in the last 7 days. Change compares the 7-day median with the median of the 21 days before it.
Cards that were trading at Movers volume and whose weekly sales have dropped by half or more.
Cards where recent performance (and award odds) is well ahead of a flat or falling price, with at least 3 sales in 30 days. We log every pick and publish the hit rate. It's a signal, not a recommendation.
The geometric mean of every live card's rolling median against its starting value, based at 1,000.
